Senior Living in Alexandria: May 2018

This month, Senior Living in Alexandria host Jim Roberts is joined by Nancy Lorenz of PKMove. A local nonprofit, PKMove offers adaptive parkour classes for people with special needs, including children, cancer survivors and seniors. For seniors, the focus is primarily on developing and strengthening balance and the ability to get back up after falling. In addition to explaining PKMove’s programming, Lorenz, brought in equipment she and Jim use to demonstrate exercises designed to increase strength and balance.

Jim was also joined by PACE dietitian Madison Reeder, who shows us how to make a delicious, (semi)nutritious fruit salad, perfect for picnics or just enjoying this warmer weather.
