Tracing Your Roots Through Genealogy
Senior Services of Alexandria (SSA) is hosting a virtual “Senior Living in Alexandria” workshop on “Tracing Your Roots Through Genealogy” on Thursday, November 18th at 10 am via Zoom. This is a popular topic for older adults who have retired and have the time to learn about their family history. Researching family history is a favorite hobby especially during the last couple of years where people are staying close to home and using the internet in a variety of ways. The internet has made researching and creating a family tree more accessible than ever before. SSA is fortunate to have has its speaker for the November 18th session Stephen Hammond, a family historian in the Northern Virginia area. His goals are to educate and inspire others to research and document their own family history. It is a free session by zoom, and open to the public.
To register, click here, or call 703-836-4414, ext. 110. You will receive the zoom link the week of the workshop.
