This week’s Alexandria Times includes an article by SSA’s Ellyn Kirtley about the Silver Service Card program. This unique program in Alexandria allows residents aged 60 and over to receive discounts at local businesses. The Silver Service Card program, launched in the spring of 2016 as part of the Commission on  Aging’s commitment to promoting Alexandria as an age-friendly community, encourages senior residents to shop, dine and obtain services locally.
