Senior Services of Alexandria’s Annual Meeting luncheon was held at the newly-opened Brandywine Living at Alexandria facility on Wednesday, June 27th. Joined by past, current, and incoming board members as well as Caring Connection donors, SSA celebrated another year of serving Alexandria’s senior population as well as the successful completion of our Caring Connection major gifts campaign.
Past-Board Chair Gerry Cooper recognized SSA’s retiring board members: Lynnwood Campbell, Warner Moore, Alice Rogalski, Donna Shaw and Carolyn Wilder. SSA’s new Board Chair, Jack Fannon, introduced all incoming board members: Maribeth Bersani, Tom Roberts, Mindi Schools and Karen Skeens.
Donna Shaw, Chair of the Advisory Council, presented a commemorative plaque commissioned by SSA to honor the Caring Connection donors, and recognized the other Steering Committe members – Gerry Cooper, Kerry Donley, Willie Bailey, Laurie Blackburn, Lynnwood Campbell, Kristin Eagan, Jack Fannon, Jane Foote, Deborah Matthews, Warner Moore, Gregg Murphy, Kitty Porterfield, Arvette M. Reid and Jen Walker – who were instrumental in the success of the Caring Connection campaign.
