Alexandria Celebrates Women Alex250 Women’s History Tour
Third Saturday of each month Alexandria Visitor Center, 221 King Street, Alexandria, Start time – 12 noon.
Alexandria Celebrates Women Vice President Gayle Converse is leading free women’s history walks each month. The walks are part of Alexandria’s “America 250” birthday celebration through 2026. The route will allow you to explore many of the exterior sites associated with a wide array of diverse and courageous women who have been an integral part of Alexandria’s history. We suggest comfortable walking shoes, dressing in layers, and don’t forget your sunscreen and a hat.

Robust Walkathon – Tuesday, September 30 (Rain Date – Oct 2) 10 am – 12 noon – Ben Brenman Park, 4800 Brenman Park Drive
It is time to gear up for fall with a nice walk around Ben Brenman Park. Group leaders will guide walkers through exercise stations weaving low-intensity exercises as you walk. There is a suggested donation of $10. This benefits activities sponsored by the City’s Successful Aging Committee.
