Remembering Rosie the Otter at the Monterey Bay Aquarium

The Monterey Aquarium lost Rosie the beloved sea otter a few months ago. At 24 years old, Rosa was the oldest resident otter at the Aquarium and one of the most experienced surrogate moms, having raised 15 stranded sea otter pups in her time at the aquarium. Click here.

 City to Honor Centenarians on September 10!

The City of Alexandria will honor its Centenarian residents at a special event on Tuesday, September 10 at 5 pm at City Hall in the Vola Lawson lobby. Residents being honored must be 100 or older years of age by December 31, 2024. If you are a Centenarian or know someone who is, we want to honor you!
