Interested in learning more about your city’s history? Join Beatley Central Library and Senior Services of Alexandria as we tour Old Town and visit some of its most valuable landmarks. Alexandria has a rich history, and this is a great chance to see it for yourself! Each month, we visit a different site. Past tours have included the Lee Fendall House, Carlyle House, the Black History Museum, the Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum, and Gadsby’s Tavern Museum. On June 8th, participants will receive a tour of the Lyceum.
Attendees meet at Beatley Central Library at 10:00. Library staff will provide a 30 minute lecture about the Lyceum and its history, and transportation will then be provided to and from the tour.
Tours are free, but space is limited. To RSVP, contact SSA at seniorservicesalex.org or 703.836.4414 x 110.
