The Alexandria Gazette featured an article this week about Senior Services of Alexandria’s participation in a nationwide Meals on Wheels America campaign. The first-ever national volunteer recruitment campaign launched July 12th. PSAs, print materials, and interviews on news programs around the country served to kick-start the campaign. Senior Services of Alexandria’s Gerry Cooper (pictured above with Meals on Wheels America’s CEO Ellie Hollander) and David Baker, both longtime volunteers for Meals on Wheels in addition to serving on SSA’s board, had the opportunity to participate in the launch by being interviewed about their experiences as volunteers.
