SSA’s Gala Postponed Due to Recent Health Concerns

SSA’s Annual Gala scheduled for March 14 has been postponed due to concerns over the possible spread of COVID-19 and the potential health risk to older adults in particular.

SSA’s top concern in all things is the health and well-being of Alexandria’s older adults and those who support them, and we feel that any risk, no matter how small, is not worth the potential consequences given the populations we serve.

The Spring Gala is a highlight of the year for the organization because we look forward to sharing our progress and vision for the future with friends and supporters, and honoring people recognized for their extraordinary service to the community. SSA plans to reschedule the Gala festivities for a date in June. More detailed information will be forthcoming.

We want to thank our many Gala sponsors, attendees, honorees, volunteers and silent auction donors for their ongoing support. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at 703-836-4414.

Sincerely,

Mary Lee Anderson
Executive Director
