The Covid-19 pandemic has been difficult for all of us, but exceptionally hard on those over 60, who are more vulnerable to serious illness. With seniors sheltering at home, demand for our services--especially meal delivery and grocery shopping--skyrocketed. For example, weekly meal deliveries jumped from 900 to 2,500 meals.

With the generous support of the Alexandria community, we've continued our important work on behalf of seniors without missing a step. We have continued to deliver Meals on Wheels seven days a week, shop for & deliver groceries, reach out to isolated seniors with Friendly Visitor phone calls, train Senior Ambassadors, who keep their local communities up to date on programs and services important to seniors, and schedule 400 vaccine appointments for eligible seniors.
