Help keep someone warm this winter. The Beatley Central Library is collecting hand-made or store-bought hats, scarves and mittens. All items donated will benefit Alexandria’s Community Lodgings.  Items can be dropped off at the Information Desk at Beatley from November 8 to December 16. Questions? Senior Living in Alexandria: Tracing Your Roots through Genealogy, Thursday, November 18 at 10 am via Zoom

Senior Services of Alexandria (SSA) is hosting a virtual “Senior Living in Alexandria” workshop on “Tracing Your Roots Through Genealogy” on Thursday, November 18th at 10 am via Zoom. SSA is fortunate to have as its speaker for the November 18th session Stephen Hammond, a family historian in the Northern Virginia area. His goals are to educate and inspire others to research and document their own family history. It is a free session by zoom, and open to the public.
