Alexandria Fireworks Celebration – Saturday, July 9 – 6 to 9:45 pm (Fireworks at 9:30) at Oronoco Bay Park, 100 Madison St, Alexandria

This celebration marks Alexandria’s 273rd birthday and the USA’s 246th birthday. A performance by the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra will be held along with cupcakes, local vendors, live music and fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. Pets and smoking are not permitted at the event.
Aside from Oronoco Bay Park, fireworks viewing locations will include Center Canal Plaza; Rivergate Park, 2 Montgomery St.; Founders Park, 351 North Union St.; Waterfront Park, 1A Prince St.; Windmill Hill Park, 501 South Union St.; Fords Landing boardwalk, 99 Franklin St.; Jones Point Park, Jones Point Dr., and George Washington Masonic Temple, 101 Callahan Dr.
