Senior Academy Fall Session – September 4, 11, 18 and 25

SSA is excited to offer the Senior Academy to Alexandria residents and employees 60 and older starting on Wednesday, September 4. This four-week session takes place every Wednesday morning from 10:00 am to 12 is a great way to learn about all the services and programs the city has to offer to older adults, how the city operates, and become engaged in your community in a variety of ways. To learn more and register for this free program

  City to Honor Centenarians on September 10!

The City of Alexandria will honor its Centenarian residents at a special event on Tuesday, September 10 at 5 pm at City Hall in the Vola Lawson lobby. Residents being honored must be 100 or older years of age by December 31, 2024. If you are a Centenarian or know someone who is, we want to honor you! For more information, call Senior Services of Alexandria at 703-836-4414, ext. 110 or

Trivia Nights at Historic Sites: Summer Olympics – Lee-Fendall House Museum, 614 Oronoco Street – Friday, July 26 – 7-9 p.m.

The Lee-Fendall House Museum and Carlyle House Historic Park have combined their random nerd knowledge to create bi-weekly trivia nights in the beautiful gardens located at Lee-Fendall House. Join us all summer to test your knowledge on all things from pop culture to history! The theme of our July 26th trivia night will be Summer Olympics.

One-On-One Computer Help – at the Barrett Branch – Tuesday, July 30 – 5:00pm – 7:00pm – Kate Waller Barrett Branch Library
