Senior Living in Alexandria: August 2018

This month on Senior Living in Alexandria, SSA’s Executive Director Mary Lee Anderson filled in for our host Jim Roberts. She sat down with Katie Hilburn, Administrator for Silverado Alexandria Memory Care to talk about trends in memory care and how they’ve changed over time. Silverado Alexandria provides its residents with a home designed specifically with their needs in mind. Take a listen to learn more about the changing memory care landscape and what Silverado has to offer.

Madison Reeder, a dietitian from the InovaCares for Seniors PACE program, teaches Jim how to make a healthy strawberry salad, perfect for those hot August days. Made with spinach, strawberries, candied almonds, and a homemade vinaigrette, this refreshing salad can serve as either a side or an entree.
