Picture This tours at the National Gallery of Art are intended for art lovers who cannot see well enough to benefit from traditional gallery tours. Individuals with low vision or who are blind can now participate in Picture This tours that incorporate vibrant verbal descriptions with information about works of art.

November tours will take place on Wednesday, November 23 and Saturday, November 26 in the West Building.  Explore the idea of Home Sweet Home: American Life through the Ages!

November tours meet at 1:00 in the Rotunda of the West Building of the National Gallery and last about an hour. Everyone is welcome.

For more information or to receive web links to works that will be described on the tour in advance, contact Lorena Bradford (formerly Baines) at access@nga.gov or 202-842-6905.

Verbally described tours are also available by request with 3 weeks’ notice by e-mailing access@nga.gov.

Use the entrance at 6th Street and Constitution Avenue for easiest access to the West Building Rotunda.

These tours are co-sponsored by the Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington.
