Senior Services of Alexandria’s March Speaker Series event was held on the 18th at Immanuel Church on the Hill (3606 Seminary Road). Caregivers – Find Support! featured experts from AARP, Alexandria’s Division on Aging and Adult Services, BCAT Cognitive Assessment, Arden Courts of Annandale, and Capital Caring. Caregivers are challenged in many ways, and it’s important to know where to find support to help make the right decisions for you and your loved one. Topics discussed included tools to help meaningful communication, resources for in-home and long-term support, adult day programs, and the components of an effective plan for caregiving.
