Traditional Music Series Concert – Tuesday, March 11, 7:00 pm – The Lyceum – 201 S. Washington Street

Join Colin Farrell and Dave Curley in concert at The Lyceum. Curley is one of Ireland’s leading multi-instrumentalists and vocalists. Farrell has performed and recorded with an array of great musicians in Europe and the US, including singers and groups such as Mary Chaplin Carpenter.

Senior Services of Alexandria (SSA) will take its weekly newsletter “SSA Connection” live at a fun event on Wednesday, March 19, 10 am at Beth El Hebrew Congregation, 3830 Seminary Road in Alexandria.

The program will follow the newsletter format including: a “Ted Talk;” fitness segment; cooking demonstration; local happenings and a fun “sing-along.” The event is free, but please rsvp by emailing events@seniorservicesalex.org or call 703-836-4414, ext. 110.

The Ballyshaners Saint Patrick’s Parade – March 1 – 12:30 pm – 
King and St. Asaph Streets

The Ballyshaners 42nd Alexandria Saint Patrick’s Parade will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 in Old Town Alexandria. The parade starts at the corner of King Street and St. Asaph Streets and proceeds east on King Street, turning left onto Lee Street and then left onto Cameron Street, and finishing at the corner of Pitt and Cameron Streets. Viewing the parade is free to the public and features pipe bands, Irish dance schools, community groups, and a host of other performers and entertainment. It’s a fantastic day to spend with family or friends!

Choir of William and Mary Concert for a Cause – Sunday, February 23-

The Choir of the College of William and Mary will perform a concert to benefit scholarships to two Alexandria City High School students established by the Alexandria Community Remembrance Project to acknowledge and remember this City’s known lynching victims: Joseph McCoy (1897) and Benjamin Thomas (1899). Speakers include Steve Gurney with the Positive Aging Community, and Rhonda Williams, Director of the city’s Older Adult Mental Health Department.
